Athletics Day!
Tuesday 8th and Wednesday 9th of March were the two days Pohutukawa and Totara tamariki had athletics. They had been training for the past 5 weeks in preparation for the event. The events were shotput, long jump, high jump, vortex, cricket throw and then the track events - 60m, 100m and 200m sprint. Everyone had an awesome time over both days as the sun was shining, the kids were in high spirits and the competition tough! The high lights were the finals of the track events and the class relays. Those children who were placed 1st, 2nd or 3rd overall will now represent Glenholme at the Interschool athletics competition in a few weeks time. Kia kaha tamariki, go hard!
